McCotter & Sons, Inc. was founded in 1956 by Howard S. McCotter and his two sons Thomas & Lawrence to sell and service coal stoking equipment for the Riley Stoker Company. As the industry changed so did McCotter & Sons, Inc. Shortly after incorporation, the firm added two new principals; Gordon-Piatt Company and L.J. Wing Company. Wing manufactured a full line of industrial heating and ventilating equipment. After 48 years McCotter & Hansen, Inc still represents both manufacturers.
