McCotter Energy Systems began as McCotter & Sons, Inc. founded by Howard S. McCotter and his two sons Thomas & Lawrence. The company began selling coal stoking equipment and has evolved with the industry now providing the most comprehensive line of premium HVAC and commercial boiler room systems in the region.
1973 - The company named changed to McCotter & Hansen, Inc in 1973 with the addition of partner Arnie Hansen.
1994 - Dan McCotter, became president of the company in 1994.
1996 - Two years later, McCotter & Hansen, Inc. acquired Energy Sales, Inc.. Larry Geldermann joins McCotter Energy Systems, Inc.
2006 - The company moved to its current location near downtown Milwaukee and the name was changed to McCotter Energy Systems, Inc. The facility is home to a complete training facility with operating boilers. The Smart Energy Learning lab is a one of a kind training facility where service technicians can be trained and work hands on with the units in operation.
2007 - Justin Gavin, Sales Engineer, joins McCotter Energy systems in the Green Bay office.
2008 - Adam Wedekind, Sales Engineer, and Shane Creger, Operations Manager, are hired in the Milwaukee office.
2010 - Lori Phillips is hired and is responsible for marketing and is part of the inside sales team.
2011 - Charlie Gary joins the inside sales team.

We provide commercial boiler room equipment and service throughout Wisconsin and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan from three locations; our main office in Metro Milwaukee and two satellite offices in Norway, Michigan and De Pere, Wisconsin. Our service technicians are centrally located to provide quick service throughout Wisconsin and the U.P.
